Sweet Cherub - Hero Arts

Sweet Cherub

Hi friends! I'm here today with a non-traditional Valentine in - you guessed it - BLUE! I love the super duper fun Hero Lifestyle Dies - to me, it's a way to be a full grown adult with permission to play with paper dolls.

I actually store all my Lifestyle Dies together, because of course they are oh so mix and matchable! This month's Hero Lifestyle Cherub die set is no exception - the sweet little wings will go with ANY stamp in your collection, along with the halo and the sweet little banner.

So today, I decided to focus on just those without using the Hero Lifestyle Forms character die, because they are so iconic, they are great on their own.

Come back to the blog on January 31st for my video on how I did this background, but I used the other die cuts from the set (I typically just leave the dies connected and cut multiples all at once - so much easier than arranging single tiny dies on your plate.)

I glued those onto a card panel and used Purple Galaxy, Splash and Blue Hawaii Reactive inks to do some ink smooshing. This made a great contrast to the crisp white die cuts I floated over the top with foam squares. I stamped the "love you" from V Day Mini Messages in Intense Black ink on the little banner to finish the card.

Tip - if you do leave your dies attached like I do, the first time you cut them out, keep that negative space panel in your stamp pocket - then you can just pop small elements like that banner into it in your MISTI for precision stamping.

Thanks for stopping by today - happy crafting!
