Tone on Tone Sparkly Heat-Embossing

Good morning and Happy Thursday! Jess here with some sparkly tone on tone inspiration for you today!

I love how this card turned out but it was not easy to photograph. I wish you could see all the sparkles in person! Anyway, I started by stamping the Abstract Honeycomb Bold Prints background cling stamp onto Pitch Black cardstock with Embossing & Watermark ink. Then I heat-embossed it with Black Sparkle embossing powder. There's a little colorful glitter in the embossing powder that really catches the light. It also adds some fun texture to an otherwise plain card panel.

Next I die-cut one of the bees from the Bees and Flowers Fancy Dies set and colored it with Copic markers. I die-cut a Hexagon Infinity Die from Pitch Black cardstock, stamped a sentiment from Bee and Flowers Wreath, and heat-embossed it with Gold embossing powder. Finally I die-cut the word 'honey' from the Honey Pot Fancy Dies set and pressed the Embossing & Watermark ink pad over the word. I heat-embossed it with Gold Glitter embossing powder for a little extra sparkle. Then I adhered the hexagon to my background panel with foam mounting tape and added the rest of the sentiment and the bee with Precision Glue to finish the card!

I hope this inspires you to use those embossing powders you've got in your stash and mix and match them for some sparkly results. Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the Snowflake Background Etched Dies from the Lisa Horton Snowflake Kisses Collection.
