Video: Can Bold Prints Be Subtle?

Hello there, Michelle here and today I am sharing a card and video using Cactus Bold Prints . Although, as the name suggests, Bold Prints can be bold in nature, I wanted to show you that they can also be subtle too!

Watch the video below to see how I made the card:

(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch HERE on YouTube.)

New Home Congrats by Michelle Short for Hero Arts

I started off my card by creating the background. I took a panel of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock and using Extra Large Ink Blending Brushes , blended on Reactive Inks. I used Blue Hawaii , Blue Raspberry , Green Apple and Key Lime Fizz . I then set the panel aside to dry.

Once dry, I stamped the Cactus Bold Prints on top using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink . I applied Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. This gives a wonderful subtle look to the background and really catches the light beautifully!

I took the congrats sentiment from Peace Words Fancy Dies and die cut it four times from more Deluxe Smooth White cardstock using the Compact Cutter . They were adhered one on top of another using Precision Glue .

I then took the "new home" sentiment from Congrats & Yay Stamp & Cut XL and stamped it on to Pitch Black Cardstock with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink . I applied White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. It was then cut in to a strip.

I cut the background panel down and adhered it to an A2 card base with tape runner adhesive. The sentiment strip was added on top, followed by the congrats word, using Precision Glue .

To finish off, I die cut a left over piece of the ink blending with the smallest of the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies . It was adhered to the sentiment strip and then finished with Sparkle Clear Lacquer Pen .

I hope this may help you look at Bold Prints a little differently. Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a wonderful day!
