Video: Die Cut Hexagon Background

Hi everyone! Ilina here. Today I am sharing how to make super fun and colorful backgrounds using the new Hexagon Infinity Dies . Once you have the background created you can just add a simple sentiment and your card is done.

All you need is the Hexagon Infinity Dies , cardstock in colors of your choice, sentiment stamps (I used a sentiment from the Bee and Flowers Wreath set), some printer paper and adhesive. After making the card I had leftover pieces and used those to make a second card.

Watch the video below to see my creative process or click HERE to watch on YouTube.

To make the background start by die cutting the hexagon frames. I taped all dies together, which resulted in being able to cut out hexagon frames instead of "solid" hexagons. I picked 10 colors of cardstock and for the background I used the first 10 hexagons, but you can change the number of colors or hexagons you use. The colors I picked were: Pitch Black, Adriatic, Arctic, Paradise, Canary , Mustard, Papaya , Pebble, Kiwi and Meadow.

Once you die cut them all, add double sided adhesive to a piece of printer paper (I used a 6" x 6" piece of adhesive) and start arranging the hexagons. Once you have created the background, cut it to 4" x 5 1/4", stamp a sentiment and adhere to a Dove White top folded card .

With the leftovers I decided to make a second card where I adhered the trimmed hexagons on the left side of a Dove White cardstock panel measuring 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped a sentiment using Intens-ified Black ink.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have an amazing day!
