Video: Postage Stamp Inspired Card

Hello and welcome to the Hero Arts blog! It's Janette Kausen here with you today and I am sharing a fun postage stamp inspired project with a video tutorial! The postage stamp I drew my inspiration from is included in the Stamped Just For You clear stamp set featured in this project. I also jazzed up an envelope to coordinate.

View the video below for the details on how I created today's projects.

If you have any trouble viewing this video, please try watching it HERE in HD on YouTube.

Create project by layering a Dove White card base with a larger Dove White Infinity Postage Stamp die cut popped up with dimensional adhesive. Adhere a rectangle , just slight smaller, flat.

Die cut LOVE minus the O with the Luggage Tag Alphabet into a smaller Postage Stamp die cut. Then ink blend a panel to place behind with Dandelion , Deep Ocean and Orchid inks. Stamp sentiment in Intens-ified Black ink and then pop panel onto blended background with dimensional adhesive.

Die cut a small Infinity Heart from Azalea cardstock and adhere in place with dimensional adhesive. Color heart with a clear sparkle marker and then coat liberally with a Crystal Clear Lacquer pen for a glossy finish. Allow to dry overnight.

Ink blend a matching envelope with Crimson ink, as well as the three prior inks, Dandelion, Deep Ocean and Orchid. Create an address line by using Post-It Tape as a mask. Stamp a few fun elements onto the envelope with the same Stamped Just For You set. The postage style stamp in the upper right corner is what inspired this project!

Thank you for joining me today. Remember, if you're creating with Hero Arts tag us on social media. We'd love to know what you're up to!

Loved the way you gave it such vibrant coloring. The envelope was my favorite.

Shona Austin,

What a lovely quick and simple card. I love the matching colour band on the envie front and flap. I also like that your video instructions a short and concise. Thanks for the inspiration.

Betty Bywater,

What a fun card and love the matching envelope. You’re right, you take the time to make a great card, why not do a little something on the envelope.

Candy Mollica,

What a fun and pretty card! I love that you showed fixing the “oops, should have stamped that first” moment as well!

Joni S,

Gorgeous card and envelope (and so easy)!!
