Video: Pull Tab Birthday Surprise

Hello, friends! It’s Channin here with a new card and video to share! In today’s video I create an interactive card featuring the Surprise Gift stamp set and Frame Cuts as well as the Party Fox Stamp & Cut . Today I’ll show you how I create a hidden pull tab which when pulled reveals a wild surprise! Please check out the video below to see the whole process.

(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please try watching it HERE on YouTube.)

First, I stamped the present and its top from the Surprise Gift stamp set in Intens-ified Black on Dove White cardstock . I then Copic colored the images in and die cut them out with the matching dies.

Next, I partially die cut the gift top die out of a 3” x 3” square. Then with a craft knife I cut about 1/8” off the sides to create my tab. Next, I stamped the tab with the fox and the confetti from the Party Fox stamp set and then Copic colored the image.

I then trimmed a sheet of Paradise of to a 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” panel and stamped a sentiment from the Surprise Gift stamp set. Next, I cut a small slit about 2 1/8” into the panel with a craft knife.

I then fed the tab through the slit and adhered a 2 1/2” x 1/4”onto the bottom of the tab. Next, I adhered the the lid with foam tape to the top of the pull tab.

I then adhered the panel onto an A2 top-folding card base avoiding adding any glue to the tab. Lastly, I finished the card by stamping a sentiment from the Party Fox set inside the card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!
