Video: Stamping a Blended Background Featuring the December MMH Kit

Hello friends!! It’s Channin here and today I create a sweet card with the new December 2022 My Monthly Hero Kit . Check out the video below to see how I STAMP a blended galaxy background with the included cling stamp.

Watch below or HERE on the Hero Arts YouTube channel.

To create this card I first stamped the galaxy background using the cling background stamp and several inks. I started by placing the stamp in my MISTI. I then applied Lemon Drop Reactive Ink to the stamp with a small blending brush and stamped a large panel of Dove White cardstock. I repeated this process of re-inking with the blending brush and then stamping until the yellow had reach the right intensity. Next, I repeated this entire process with several more ink colors ( Taffy , Pool Party , Blue Hawaii and Intens-ified Black ) until the galaxy background was completely stamped.

I then trimmed the background down to a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” panel and applied ink to the cut edges with the black and pool ink pads I used to stamp the background. I then adhered the panel to an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next, I stamped a couple of images from the clear stamp set in Intens-ified Black ink onto a scrap of Dove White cardstock. I then Copic colored the images and die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set in Embossing & Watermark Ink onto an a scrap of Pitch Black cardstock. I then poured Detail White embossing powder over the sentiment and heat set. Next, I fussy cut the sentiment out and finished the card by adhering the sentiment and images to my card front with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!
