Bringing Die Cuts to Life with Watercoloring

Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I am sharing a card using the Lily Pond Fancy Dies and showing you how to bring stand alone dies to life with watercoloring.

To make the card start with piece of watercolor paper measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (card front size) and die cut the frame along with the lily and koi fish.

Next, use watercolors to free paint the elements. I used watercolor pens and a watercolor brush. This brings the die cuts to life;) I added eyes to the koi fish using a black fine point marker.

Set these elements aside. Cut another piece of watercolor paper measuring same as before (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and watercolor the background to represent the water.

Once dry, use foam tape to adhere the two watercolored pieces together. Adhere the flower and the koi fish.

Stamp sentiment from Color Layering Monarch Butterfly on Pitch Black cardstock using Versamark ink and then heat emboss it with white embossing powder. Cut it to size and adhere to the watercolored panel using foam tape.

Once done, I adhered the entire panel to a Dove White side folded card.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a creative day!
