Winter Dala Horse

Hi there, I hope you're having a lovely day! It's Seeka here, and today I have a winter card featuring the beautiful new Dala Horse stamp set. The traditional Swedish horse and the florals in this stamp set are great for pattern stamping, or for creating a card with a focal image.

To begin, I stamped images from the set in Copic-friendly Intens-ified Black ink onto Dove White cardstock. I used three colors (B00, B45, and E07) to quickly color the images and then cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then I stamped the sentiment and fussy cut it.

Next, I used the Northern Winter Cover Plate to dry emboss another piece of Dove White cardstock. To do this, I ran the die and cardstock through my die-cutting machine with an embossing pad, leaving behind an impression of the die's pattern on the cardstock. I trimmed this panel approximately 3.75"x5".

To assemble the card, I adhered the dry embossed panel to a 4.25"x5.5" panel of Mist cardstock. Then I adhered the two stemmed flowers using adhesive dots, and adhered the bell with foam tape. I adhered the Dala horse and the star-shaped flower with foam tape and then finished off by adhering the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!

Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the Snowflake Background Etched Dies from the Lisa Horton Snowflake Kisses Collection.
